The artwork consists of a soft nest filled with eggs, lifted off the ground on uneasy legs. Everything is sewn in different textiles that were inherited then dyed, printed and embroidered. The motifs are inspired by how women's stories pass down through mothers.
The shape of the textile sculpture explores a fascination of how eggs wander from uterus to uterus through people, how we laid inside our mothers mother inside our own mother before she was even born. How far back does this meaty nest go?
