Studying at the Royal Danish Academy, Sara Sommer holds a bachelor’s degree in textile design and is currently completing her master’s in furniture, product, and material design.

Her projects always take an artistic approach, balancing on the edge between design and art. She places a strong focus on storytelling in her work, often exploring the human experience of being in the world: generational relationships, being a body, being a friend, being a child, and seeking the fantastical and mythical in everyday life.

She uses textiles, color, and illustrations to explore these subjects, usually incorporating a floral element.
